Change Oil Viscosity for Air Cooled V Twin 4 Cycle Engine
MODELS: FR/FS/FX 481V, 541V, 600V, 651V, 691V, 730V, 751V, 801V, 850V, 921V, 1000V (FXT00V), FH series
Kawasaki has added 20W-50 grade oil to the viscosity table below. The viscosity table information in the manuals has also changed to match the table below.
Although 10W-40 engine oil is the recommended oil for most conditions, the oil viscosity may need to be changed to accommodate seasonal temperature changes. Using 20W-50 oil in higher ambient temperatures may reduce oil consumption.
Changes to the oil viscosity table will be included in the updated service and owners manuals for the FR/ FS/FX and the FH-D series engines however no change will be made to the manuals for the FH-V series engines.
